Abstract
The study addresses problems related to teaching Belarusian as a foreign language in the Slovak language context. Work with students in different classes within the Belarusian section of the program is described. Recommendations on how to use teaching aids and students’ books within the mentioned program are given. A sample thematic plan for the whole academic year (2 x 45-minute sessions) containing optional subjects from the field of Belarusian studies is also provided.
